Studio LK has been instructed by a pension fund to produce a detailed planning application for a proposed residential development on a site in the west of Micheldever. A Characterisation Study also forms part of this information and helps to inform the proposed design.
The proposed design is relatively small scale and requires only a few urban and architectural typologies. An existing right of way runs diagonally through the site, and is a key generator in the masterplan’s layout.
Other desire lines help to suggest the arrangement of the proposed routes and blocks through the layout, linking to the village’s neighbourhood centre and to the wider countryside.
A large green open space is proposed within the north of the masterplan.
